Emergence International!

A world-wide community supporting LGBTQIA+ Christian Scientists.

Emerge

Emerge gently from matter into Spirit. Think not to thwart the spiritual ultimate of all things, but come naturally into Spirit through better health and morals and as the result of spiritual growth.

— Mary Baker Eddy

Good Gift

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

— James, KJV

Boundless

God expresses in man the infinite idea forever developing itself, broadening and rising higher and higher from a boundless basis.

— Mary Baker Eddy

Brother Birds

Brood o'er us with Thy shelt'ring wing,
'Neath which our spirits blend
Like brother birds, that soar and sing,
And on the same branch bend.
The arrow that doth wound the dove
Darts not from those who watch and love.

— Mary Baker Eddy

God is love

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God... for God is love.

— I John, KJV

Shakespeare

This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.

— Shakespeare

Emergence International is a worldwide community of Christian Scientists, their families and friends providing spiritual and educational support for LGBTQIA+ people as they deal with homophobia and heterosexism. EI honors the integrity of individual growth through the leadership of Mary Baker Eddy in her writings and by fellowship with similarly minded Christian Scientists. We encourage gentle emergence and provide a means to help the “weary wanderer” find their way to freedom.

Our members are committed to the study and practice of Christian Science and are available to answer questions about the Christian Scientist LBGTQIA+ Community, or about Christian Science itself. A member from our list of contacts in various cities around the United States and the world will respond to all inquiries made through our Contact page.

We hope you find something you’re looking for here on our web site. But if you don’t, please feel free to contact us at any time.

EI Conference 2022

Every year EI convenes a Conference. The Conferences afford unparalleled opportunities to meet other Christian Scientists with similar perspectives. It is a joyous occasion for sharing and caring, loving, and healing.

This year’s conference was held on October 8. The topic was, Unassailable Rights, Issues facing the LGBTQ Community: Choosing to be Ourselves.

Thank you Lisa Taylor for your inspired presentation!
